TESS ROSS

Currently, I am working as freelance designer of wedding and evening wear as well as a commercial photoshoot stylist with Soona in Minneapolis. With ten years of experience in bridal and evening wear, I have developed skills in design, patterning, production, fit assessment, marketing, and other areas expertise. I was born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where my artistic leanings appeared early when I made my first dress using staples and gold lame at age three. A trip to Italy as a child sparked an absolute devotion to historic architecture and decorative arts. Never one to say no to a museum visit, I find eternal inspiration for my work in European arts. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in apparel design and a minor in retail merchandising. I was brought on as an intern at Tara LaTour Bridal, where I was hired upon my graduation. While at Tara LaTour I learned to work with fine fabrics and bespoke treatments to create garments. In 2018, I was integral in the development of a diffusion bridal line, Rose+Williams, that utilized signature Tara LaTour elements at a lower price point. This would quickly become the most successful venture in the brand’s history.
